AG Workers Rights Bill Waits for Signature
(Ordway, CO) -- An agricultural workers rights bill that passed that’s waiting for the governor’s signature now has some southeast Colorado policy makers concerned. Crowley county commissioner Roy Elliot says duties on a farm aren’t an eight to five job and he fears it will overall harm producers and farmers in the area. Senate Bill 21-087 would allow workers to unionize and would require a set number of hours per week and per day. It has not yet been signed by the governor according to the Colorado legislature’s website.
