A man who was wanted in a shooting on May 28th engages Otero county Sheriff's deputies and La Junta Police in an armed standoff today, which ended without incident. He is now in custody. It started when a call came in on Tuesday of this week of a shooting. The shooting victim told police where it had happened which was in the 1500 block of Daniels Avenue in La Junta. Yesterday afternoon, Jerry Ray Williams Jr. was taken into custody.
