Bent County Sheriff Looks Back on the Year and Forward to This One

After a year there’s still a lot to do in the Bent County Sheriff’s office. That’s what Sheriff Jake Six feels and says they’ve got a lot of goals for this year. Six says they would like to make some technology improvements to bring the jail up to date. So far, three weeks into the new year, they were able to get it approved in the budget to add more staff. The Sheriff says he really needs the staff to allow for scheduling ease and to allow for time off as needed.

In addition to many of the things they accomplished this past year, the Bent County Sheriff’s office built a website. You can access information on staff, inmates, the history of the office, and see crime reports for the town of Las Animas and Bent county.
