If you’ve ever tried to cut back on your calories, you know it’s hard. Imagine doing it to understand the plight of a person in a refugee camp. La Junta resident Terrance Hestand came across the Ration Challenge and felt moved to try it. Hestand ate the refuge diet for seven days and says he knew it would be a challenge. He feels the refugees would be better helped to teach them a trade or skill so they can help themselves.
You can get involved with Ration Challenge USA by yourself or with a group. When you sign up they send you the food and you follow the instructions on the challenge while raising money for the cause.
