(La Junta, CO) -- Otero Junior College will hold multiple graduation ceremonies over the next several days. The in person ceremonies will still have covid restrictions and families will be asked to space out to give everyone more room. You can find out more information about the ceremonies on the OJC website.

(Colorado) -- Many schools across Southeast Colorado are going to remote learning. Some are doing so to make sure that graduation and other end of years activities will be able to happen. Swink, Rocky Ford, Fowler, Las Animas and La Junta are all doing some sort of at home learning. Meanwhile, superintendents from a dozen metro area school districts in Denver are calling for an end to student quarantines through the end of the academic year. A letter was sent to state health officials this week in regard to possible COVID-19 exposures. District officials say despite the rise in cases among middle and high school students in Colorado, transmission in the classroom remains low. Superintendents also say quarantines are disruptive to in-person learning.
