North La Junta Flooding Concerns Addressed

North La Junta’s worries of flooding will hopefully be eased a bit with phase three moving forward. The Lower Arkansas Valley Water Conservancy District reported at yesterday’s commissioner’s meeting they’re funded and ready to do more work.

Senator Larry Crowder earlier this year worked on a resolution that would push the United States Senate to force dredging of the river. Flooding has been a concern in North La Junta for several decades.
