Pueblo South Runs Away With Early Lead in Victory Over La Junta

The La Junta Lady Tigers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 7-3 loss to the Pueblo South Lady Colts on Tuesday. Pueblo South scored on a single by Gracie Gonzales, a single by Marissa Keck, and a single by Danika Bernal in the second inning.

In the second inning, Pueblo South got their offense started when Gonzales singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Emily Abraham led the Pueblo South Colts to victory on the rubber. She lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out seven and walking one.

Madison Wiley took the loss for La Junta. She allowed 12 hits and seven runs over seven innings, striking out one.

The Lady Tigers tallied seven hits in the game. Jaylin Springer and Wiley all collected multiple hits for La Junta. Wiley and Springer each managed two hits to lead the team.

Pueblo South collected 12 hits on the day. Emilee Espinoza, Meah Tillman, Gonzales, Cotalena Duran, and Bernal each collected multiple hits for the Lady Colts.
