Southeast Colorado students receive award for Patriotism

Students in the Arkansas Valley are getting a special honor. They are receiving an award from the center for American Values in Pueblo. Teacher Kellie Buhr says it's a little different because students receive the "We Honor" award for their day-to-day attitude and outlook. Brian Bonds is also a nominating teacher who says they nominated the students they did because they showed a strong sense of patriotism. There were students selected for the nomination from Las Animas, La Junta, Cheraw, Rocky Ford and Swink .
